Kids Day at The Met Warner Center

Kids Day Celebration at the Met Warner Center!
Magic, face painting, baked goods and more!  Families of the community gathered around to enjoy a special Kid’s Day Celebration at the Met Warner Center.  These condominiums in Woodland Hills, CA are a place not only for resort-style relaxation, but also for family and fun.  Community events such as the In-N-Out food truck and our most recent Kids Day Celebration, gave residents of The Met free activities to look forward to. This past weekend, The Met brought a magician, a DJ and a balloon twister out to create a fun filled day and a precious memory for all involved.

Kids ran over from the main pool on this hot day and lined up on the deck to get their faces painted and balloon animals created.  The fun continued with arts and crafts as well as numerous group activities and games. Brownies, cake pops and other snacks were served and the kids filed their bellies up as they gathered around to watch Dorian the Magician. Shocked faces watched as the magician partook in illusions, card tricks, and disappearing birds. Don’t forget the goody bags with a complimentary Met beach towel. What better way to enjoy a Saturday in Woodland Hills?

Each kid left with balloons in one hand, bubbles in the other and the memory of a truly special day. The Woodland Hills condos in the heart of Warner Center enjoy putting on events for the residents of The Met and just formed a Social Committee to keep the excitement going. Fun activities leave the residents with something to always look forward to and also bring the community together. The Met is not just condos; it is a home and a lifestyle where people can make cherished memories.

New Shopping Center to Benefit the Woodland Hills Community!

Excitement is building as the time comes nearer to building a new shopping center in Woodland Hills.  TheVillage at Westfield Topanga will be the newest addition of shops and entertainment that will bring many benefits to the people residing in the area.  The 30 acre lot on Topanga and Victory will be turned into a massive shopping center anchored by Costco.  The shopping center will include hundreds of shops and restaurants as well as a hotel, movie theatre, a 12 story office tower, a community center and 3,362 new parking spaces.  Located in the heart of Warner Center, The Village at Westfield Topanga will combine with Westfield Topanga and Westfield Promenade malls to create one of Southern California’s largest shopping centers.

After a 7 year effort by the Westfield group, the City Council finally approved the development in February 2012.  The shopping center will be built in two phases.  Phase 1 will include Costco and four retail buildings said to be done by 2013.  Phase 1 will bring benefits such as shuttle services, bike racks and a 7,000 square ft. senior center.  The rest of the buildings will be in phase 2 and are scheduled to be done in 2016, although no strict deadline was set.

What does this mean for you?

As a potential homeowner, this means more entertainment, shops, job opportunities and an overall better lifestyle!  The addition of the discount store, Costco, will provide locals with their everyday needs whereas the other anchor stores (Nordstrom, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus and Sears) provide any luxury need desired.  Company executives are describing the discount store as “one of the nicest-looking Costcos anybody has ever seen!”  This shopping center will cater to your every need and will be conveniently located just around the corner!
